LIME
Introduction to Lime as a decorative finish.
Production and use.
Different types of Lime. Its pros and cons when using it.

SURFACES
Old vs. New buildings. Compatibility and « breathability » problematics.

AGGREGATES
An outline of the materials that can be added to Lime (sands, powered marble, crushed terracotta, pozzolana).

COLORING/PIGMENTATION
Ancient and modern colors. How to make ancient shades and to use natural clay, oxides and organic

PRACTICE

How to add colour to limewash using various techniques.
How to make natural limewash paint. The different techniques.
Coatings on non-lime surface.
Decorative effects using limewash (two colors blend, rag rolling and sponging).
How to make powered marble lime finish with sponge trowel. How to burn it to get a stone effect.
Decorative effects and patinas with glazes (VELATURA, CASEIN).

PRICE and PRACTICAL DETAILS


Price: 440 € (with taxes) per person for two days. Equipment and lunch included.
Registration: in store or by mail. A 220 € deposit by check or by bank transfer is required to register. Send your mail to Les Trois Matons France - 337 RN97 route de La Farlède - 83130 La Garde. The balance will be due the first day of workshop.
Schedules: Breakfast at 8:30am. Workshop run from 9am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm.

We reserve the right to cancel the present Training Courses in case of too few participants.
Deposits will be reimbursed or applied to another session.
